About Us

Karen was born and raised in Litchfield, MN. She attended college at Mankato State University and majored in Recreational Therapy.

Karen worked in Long Term Care for 10 years before moving to a community that specialized in Memory Care. During that time she moved into the Executive Director Role. Karen worked as the Director for seven years before taking a position at a large community that provided Independent, Assisted, and Memory care, where she worked for 3.5 years. Karen is now excited to be working at Gable Pines as the Executive Director.

Karen is passionate about seniors and making a difference in the lives of those that she serves. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family – fishing with her dad and hanging out with her nieces and her nephews. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, bicycle riding and is a huge MN sports fan and loves cheering on her hometown teams!

Amber has worked in healthcare for the past 15 years.  Prior to coming to Gable Pines she worked as an Occupational Therapist in a pediatric setting.  Her expertise and creativity in the world of sensory integration and childhood development has really allowed her to create a well-rounded, meaningful, and purposeful activity schedule and program at Gable Pines.  She truly enjoys the ability to connect with persons of all backgrounds and enrich their lives through our wellness calendar.

When she is not at Gable Pines she enjoys spending time creating and repurposing furniture and decorations, camping, and exploring the great state of Minnesota with her husband, stepdaughter, and two dogs.

Lori is the Director of Sales and Marketing.  She has worked in the senior living industry for the past several years and LOVES working with seniors.  Her favorite part of her job is finding a solution for families that are seeking what is next for this chapter of their lives.  She lives in Forest Lake with her husband.  They have 4 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren (so far!).  She likes to cook, read, hike, spend time with family and travel.

Scott is the Director of Plant Operations at Gable Pines. He lives in Shoreview with his wife and they have three children. He has been in plant operations for 20 years. He has a passion for seniors. Scott’s hobbies include snowmobiling, snow shoeing, spending time at his cabin, and hanging out with his family and friends.

Relindis is a Registered Nurse and has been in a leadership role for 14 years. She has worked in a variety of Healthcare settings; Hospitals, Skilled nursing facilities, Case management and Assisted Living. In 2018 she will finish a Graduate Program in Organizational Leadership at Bethel University.

She has a passion for caring and 12 years ago she opened an orphanage for underprivileged children living with HIV/AIDS in Cameroon, West Africa, where she spends a lot of time developing programs and working with the staff to ensure that the needs of the children are met. Relindis is a Rotarian and enjoys doing volunteer activities in the community and working in the food shelf. She is also a member of a social club and cultural groups. She loves music and dancing, enjoys family time, loves to travel, meet new people and learn different cultures.

Katie is the Housekeeping Supervisor at Gable Pines. She lives in Northeast Minneapolis with her daughter, Grace (9), and their dog Missy. She has worked in senior living for about 4 years and has been in the cleaning industry for 20+ years. Her hobbies include anything outdoors such as fishing, camping, exploring, etc. She is also a huge MN Vikings fan.
